Our Book Week celebrations will be held on Friday 28 August (Week 6).
Students are encouraged to dress up as a story character or in line with the Book Week theme "Curious Creatures Wild Minds". What sort of wild or curious creature will you come as? We will have a Book Week Parade for each stage to make sure that students and staff can show off their Book Week costumes while still maintaining the new restrictions for social distancing. There will be loads of photos to see here on the blog, in the newsletter and on our new school app after Book Week is finished! Throughout Weeks 6 and 7 we are also holding our annual Book Fair as part of our Book Week celebrations. The Book Fair is a chance for our children to share their love of books and reading with their parents, grandparents and other family members. Our Book Fair is also a great opportunity to contribute directly to our children's education and literacy. You can donate books directly to the school library through the Book Fair. The school also receives 20% + of the sales from the Book Fair as commission, which we use to purchase new books and other resources for our school library. The more you buy, the more our students benefit. This year we have moved our Book Fair online due to the COVID-19 restrictions. So come and join us at our first Virtual Book Fair! You can order books online from our Virtual Book Fair for 2 weeks from Monday 24 August - Friday 4 September (Term 3 Weeks 6 and 7). To find out how to order, go to the "How To" Guides page.
