How to borrow eBook & Audiobooks from our school library
The best way to read our eBooks and eAudiobooks is through ePlatform’s browser reader, either via the ePlatform app or website, as this provides a richer and more immersive reading experience. However, note that eBooks in PDF format will need to be downloaded for reading.

To access ePlatform on these Apple devices we recommend using the free ePlatform app (you will need iOS7 or higher). Just follow these simple steps:

- Search for "Dubbo Public School" and sign-in using your school login details (the same login you use to login to the computers at school). Then browse for ebooks and audiobooks.
- Choose and borrow the book you want, then select "Read" (for eBooks) or "Listen" for Audiobooks.
- Open the ePlatform app the next time you want to continue reading or listening. There is no need to login again if you use the app.

- Select "Download" to download the desired titles, then open the downloaded files (this will be an 'ascm' file).
- This will open in Adobe Digital Editions, allowing you to begin reading.
- Add the title to your Favourites when the book is open to access it offline.
- Go to the our library's ePlatform website here when you want to begin reading again, or follow steps 3-6 to borrow and download further titles.
Kobo eReader
If you have a Kobo eReader you will need to download Adobe Digital Editions in order to download and read eBooks from ePlatform. The steps to follow are as below.

- Download Adobe Digital Editions.
- Enter your Adobe ID and password to authorise the app.
- Go to the Dubbo Public School Library's ePlatform website here and sign-in using your school login details (the same login you use to login to the computers at school). Then browse for ebooks and audiobooks.
- Select "Download" to download the desired titles, then open the downloaded files (this will be an 'ascm' file).
- This will open in Adobe Digital Editions, allowing you to begin reading.
Then you’ll need to make the eBook accessible on your eReader:
- Plug your eReader into your computer or laptop and start ADE (Adobe Digital Editions).
- Enter your Adobe ID and password to authorise ADE on your eReader.
- The eReader's name will now appear in Adobe Digital Editions' Library View as a device.
- Next to 'Devices' click the arrow to display a drop-down menu and select 'Authorise Device'.
- Select the downloaded title from your computer/laptop's bookshelf and drag the title across onto where your eReader is listed under Bookshelf: this will copy the book to the eReader.
- Eject your eReader from your computer and begin reading your title from your 'Books I'm Reading' list.
Sony eReader
In order to read library eBooks on a Sony eReader you will need to first download Reader Library Software onto a computer or laptop. The steps to follow are as below.

- Obtain a free Adobe ID.
- Download Reader Library Software onto your computer or laptop.
- Plug your eReader into your computer or laptop: the device name will appear in the left hand side of the Reader Library.
- Go to the Dubbo Public School Library's ePlatform website here and sign-in using your school login details (the same login you use to login to the computers at school). Then browse for ebooks and audiobooks.
- Select 'view other options', then click 'Download' to download the desired title, then open the downloaded file (this will be an 'acsm' file).
- If the Sony eReader doesn't open automatically, double-click to open the downloaded file (this will be an 'acsm' file).
- Select the downloaded title from your computer/laptop's bookshelf and drag the title across to the eReader icon at the top to begin reading.
