Meet our friendly library staff. They work hard to make the library an inviting place for all our students. Mrs Robyn Veugen has been our Teacher Librarian for 2 years. She has taught in various school for over 20 years in NSW, Queensland and the Northern Territory. After teaching in the classroom for many years she decided to combine her two loves - books and technology - and studied for a Masters of Education to become a Teacher Librarian. Mrs Veugen loves to read and to write stories too. She also enjoys the challenge of finding just the 'right' book to get a child hooked on reading. This year Mrs Veugen is also working as our school's Digital Classroom Officer to help students and staff with digital technology. Mrs Nikki Stanford has been teaching for 3 and a half years, and this is her second with us at Dubbo Public School. Prior to her career as a teacher Mrs Stanford worked as a registered Theatre Nurse. Mrs Stanford works with us two days per week and cares for her two young children on the other days. She is teaching in our Library on Thursdays. Mrs Stanford loves the joy you can find in a book and sharing this with others. Mrs Michele Peak has been working at our school for 20 years and worked at Dubbo South High before that. She been the Library Assistant in our library 1 day a week for 9 years and she also works in the front office. In the library Mrs Peak helps with borrowing and returning books, processing the new books, making displays, putting books back in the right place on the shelf, and assisting the teachers with other library administration. Mrs Peak also helps organise our annual Book Fair and other library events.
